Design and fabrication of a tractor powered leaves collector machine equipped with suction-blower system CIGR Journal
Azadbakht, Mohsen; Kiapey, Ali; Jafari, Ali.
Leaves scattered on the parks, passages, and other places have a detrimental effect on the beauty of the environment, and decrease photosynthesis, hence, the efficiency of plants.  Leaves are also used in the production of peat.  This makes using leaves collectors in parks, and organizations with a green space useful.  Due to the fact that leaves take up a high volume, their transportation is difficult.  Using the machine introduced in this paper which was equipped with a suction-blower system, increases efficiency, and at the same time decreases the costs of green space, and their workforce cost.  Focusing on overcoming the mentioned difficulties, this study was carried out in order to design and produce a tractor powered leaves collector equipped with...

Determination of the required force to pick cottonseed from four cotton varieties boll in three different harvesting time CIGR Journal
Azadbakht, Mohsen; Jahanian, Mahshid; Asghari, Ali; Nowrouzieh, Shahram.
The cotton plant contains fruits called capsules or bolls, in which the cotton fiber grows, and after the growth stages, the fibers appear through separating the carpels. This research investigated the required force to pick the cottonseed from four cotton variety   (Golestan, Khorshid, Sajedi, and Kashmar) in three levels of moisture (three harvesting times) and three revolutions (1500, 2500 and 3500 rpm). To measure this force, designed and manufactured a device similar to a spindle cotton picker and using the actual needle of John Deere machine 9920. The bolls were tested in different revolution and moisture levels with the device. The results of experiments showed that the cross-effects of variety on speed, harvesting time on variety and harvesting...

Determination of thermal properties of the Cavendish banana peel as a function of temperature and moisture CIGR Journal
Azadbakht, Mohsen; Asghari, Ali; Akbarnejad, Akbar.
The three most important characteristics of heat transfer in materials are thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and specific heat capacity. The thermal conductivity of banana peel was measured with a linear heat source. The specific heat of banana peel was obtained with a calorimeter. The thermal diffusivity coefficients were obtained by using mathematical equations. The results showed that the effect of moisture content and temperature on the thermal conductivity coefficients, specific heat and thermal diffusivity coefficients was significant at 1%. By increasing temperature, the thermal conductivity coefficients have increased in all moisture content. By reducing the moisture content the thermal conductivity coefficients were reduced in all...

Relationship of Pears’ Dielectric Properties and Rates of Pears’ Bruise CIGR Journal
Azadbakht, Mohsen; Mahmoodi, Mohammad Javad; Vahedi Torshizi, Mohammad; Asghartabar Kashi, Peyman.
Nowadays, dielectric materials, as one of the nondestructive methods, have drawn the researchers’ attention to their diverse array of advantages to the other methods. Before loading and storage, 120 pears were examined under CT-Scan and 81 pears with zero bruise were selected followed by subjecting them to quasi-static and dynamic loading and a 10 day storage period was chosen to investigate the bruise levels and their relationships with dielectric constant. At the end of the storage period, the fruits were measured in their dielectric constant after their bruise levels were determined in CT-Scans. The measurements were undertaken in capacitor plate distances of 8, 11 and 14 cm for input voltages of 6, 10 and 14 V and input voltage frequencies of 20, 60...
